Dmitry Avdeev — From Technician to Business Owner

Dmitry's path into HVAC began over a decade ago on job sites across eastern Ontario, where he earned his TSSA gas licence and 313D refrigeration-mechanic certification while learning the trade from the ground up — pulling furnaces out of flooded basements, retrofitting century homes with ductless heat pumps, and commissioning rooftop solar arrays in the dead of winter.

In 2022 Dmitry and his wife Anastasia launched Dtech Services with a single van and a straightforward promise: show up on time, quote honestly, and stand behind every installation. That approach resonated with Ottawa homeowners — the company now fields a team of seven, holds a BBB A+ rating, and maintains a 4.9-star Google average from 114+ verified reviews.

“I started Dtech because I saw too many homeowners overpaying for generic solutions,” Dmitry says. “Every house in Ottawa is different — a 1960s bungalow in Alta Vista has completely different heating needs than a new build in Barrhaven. We custom-engineer every system so our customers get the right equipment, not just the most expensive one.”
